CATAPULT - Sales Pitch

Time: 11 am to 1 pm
Catapult, our sales pitch event, will encourage you to tap into your creative side. Pitch the most bizarre products and demonstrate your conviction, by selling your ideas with eloquence and confidence.
Harmless roasting of other products and receiving live feedback on your pitches are just some of the many elements Catapult has in store for you!
CONFLUENCE - Joint Venture
Date: Saturday, 26th June, 2021.
Time: 2 pm to 4 pm
Confluence, our Joint Venture event, puts your marketing skills to the test. You’ll be challenged to showcase your creative side: come up with a way to create a product with two absolutely unrelated companies.
In this fun and fast paced event, let your imagination run wild and present your quirkiest business ideas. Our judges look for out-of-the-box thinking and conviction to make a difference.
CONUNDRUM - Management Consulting
Date: Saturday, 26th June, 2021.
Time: 2 pm to 4 pm
Conundrum, our Management Consultancy Event, is where you assume the role of a management consulting firm and provide solutions to crises. The future of the company is in your hands. An eye for detail and a mind that questions is what we are looking for, in Conundrum.
Conundrum requires you to analyze, innovate and help navigate the problems portrayed in the case studies and devise methods to help your clients out.
CROSSHAIR - Shark Tank
Date: Saturday, 26th June, 2021.
Time: 5pm to 7 pm
Crosshair, our start-up event, is where you assume the role of an entrepreneur. Innovate to leave a lasting impression on the world! Prepare to dive into the ‘shark tank’ with your product as bait.
Crosshair is a place for you to test your skills in developing products and make the world believe in your vision!
CAULDRON - Stock Market
Prizes will be announced on Sunday, 27th June, 2021.
Time: 5 pm to 7 pm
Cauldron, our Stock Market event, let’s you engage in a 5 day trading event. Show us how you grow your money and live the life of a stock broker. Without the risks involved in the actual world, Cauldron is your space to test out a combination of analysis and speculation.
Financial instruments and risks can be daunting to many. A simulated environment is perhaps the best chance for you to hone your skills, before you join the real market.
CONNEXIONS - Social Media
Prizes will be announced on Sunday, 27th June, 2021.

Connexions, our Social Media event, is where you take on the role of an influencer. The importance of Social Media in today’s world cannot be challenged. The ability to get people to view and interact with your content is a skill that businesses are willing to invest in.
Connexions tests your ability to create content, ‘influence’ the masses and gather a following for your ideas.
Canvas - Social Entrepreneurship

Canvas, our video case event, encourages you to explore your entrepreneurial skills, in a post-pandemic world. Assume the role of a social entrepreneur to build business models that aid a community’s problems in innovative ways. In Canvas, join the dots between the aspirations and the needs of the world, to reconstruct our world.
Use your innovative and creative side in this brand new event, combine a community’s history and culture to its present and use your business to unite the world.

Meet the Mentors
Eshan Toshniwal
The self-proclaimed Operations & Tech Head, Eshan is set to pursue a degree in Computer Science at UC Davis, so that he can make better Zoom links for us! That’s super nice of him, but he actually wishes to make a replacement for Google Forms (you’re also invited to fund ToshniForms).
Arryan Kanodia
A science student, Arryan soon regretted his choice when he fell in love with Shark Tank. Laziest of the lot, he’s still working hard to become an Industrial Engineer at UIUC. We are sure he will make it to the Tank one day, but probably to sell a book of horrible Hindi punchlines.
Parikshit Roychowdhury
For a person who barely sleeps, Parikshit (aka Pari) finds the energy to talk an awful much (of nonsense). His love for Cognix is so deep that he’s decided to take a gap year and not attend college at all. While he enjoys politics, we hope he never runs in an election – he’s really bad at realizing that nobody wants him to make people stay up at night and work.
Aditi Agarwal
Kind of our Marketing Head, Aditi prefers preventing us from goofing around, under the pretense of being creative. So, we are glad Aditi will bring order to the chaotic world of Economics, after she finishes college at Denison University. You know you’ve made a ghastly mistake when she decides to scream at you, but be assured that if any pranks are played, she’s the elder sister who’s responsible for it.
Nirmal Agarwal
The founder of Cognix and the reason why Cognixion is a reality, finds himself in a tough spot everyday – waking up to a 1000 messages. Nirmal Uncle, a Stanford grad, loves golf and loves his pet Oreo even more. He’s a career counselor because he loves being around youngsters (although we’re sure he questions his own career choice, when he’s subjected to our daily dose of drama). He’s our sounding board, the person we bounce ideas off but most importantly, the man who tries to help us fix our sleep schedules.
